Major US retailer takes responsibility for electronic recycling
Large brick and online store Best Buy in the US are planning on trialling a campaign to accept appliances they have sold back for recycling, at a limit of two items per household per day.
Along with simple trying the program to see what happens, the store is going to use a different recycling company in each of their stores, to see which works best. Fingers crossed that this pilot study goes well, and encourages other retailers in the US and UK to start up similar efforts to take responsibility for their electronic waste.
