World Environment Day 2008

This year World Environment Day was hosted by New Zealand, and the focus was “Kick the CO2 Habit”. The message was to reduce CO2 usage and therefore help with cutting down global warming contributions. It is hoped that individual households will analyse their needs for driving and other carbon-producing activities, and use the day as reminder to do what we can for the environment.

Coincidentally, Origo Industries are set to unveil a new product capable of recycling CO2 emissions from cars, for use as bio-oil to re-power the car or provide fuel for the car-owners home later. The Green-Car-Guide Live! exhibition in Liverpool at the end of June will showcase the new technology, along with plenty of other breakthrough ideas for improving efficiency on the roads and reducing environmental impact.
