Nuclear plants approved despite High Court ruling

Greenpeace has written a letter to Gordon Brown communicating their disappointment in his recent decision to allow a new range of Nuclear Power plants, despite a High Court ruling that makes it clean the government cannot decide anything until there is a full public consultation.

Brown however has stated that they are basically happy with businessess building nuclear power stations, although the ‘final’ decision will be made after a public hearing. Greenpeace is concerned this basically gives the public no influence in the matter at all, and makes the hearing a virtual sham.

With Bio-fuel and more environmentally friendly sources of energy and waste-produced energy becoming more common, now seems the time for the public to become more involved in the drive to make our industries greener.
In this recent upset, Greenpeace has demanded a response from PM by today.
